Learn the basics, the advanced moves, the theory and how to put it all together.

If you want to teach kettlebell exercises then this is the perfect course for you. Kettlebell training is a fantastic way to make training more interesting and engaging. Our experienced tutors guide you all the way through from the basics to the advanced exercises.

Our one day course covers the following areas:

  • What is Kettlebell training?
  • History of Kettlebells
  • Strength anatomy and physiology refresher
  • Correct technique and use of Kettlebells
  • Kettlebells exercises and their application
  • Kettlebell training: programme design for class and gym setting
  • Kettlebells as a PT tool

Entry Requirements
Open to anyone, however level 2 Fitness Instructor or Exercise to Music instructor is preferred.

This course is designed, written and delivered by a team of sports scientists, academics, specialist instructors, cyclists, triathletes, educationalists and experienced personal trainers.

Students are expected to attend a weekend (day and a half) of face to face teaching. The weekend will be predominantly be practically based but will include revision of the relevant anatomy and physiology specific to studio cycling. Learn the science and technique of bike setup and drills, learn how to put a class together, how to choose appropriate music and how to teach effectively.

Our course is designed to be comprehensive, you will be confident to teach the moment you qualify!

Periodisation and Programming for Sports Performance

Tutor, Sam Bacon, has an MSc in Strength and Conditioning and a BSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Science alongside numerous vocational qualifications including NSCA and British Weightlifting.

This CPD course will give you an overview of periodisation and programming for sports performance. By the end of the course you will understand the principles that underpin effective programming, be able to perform a critical needs analysis, have the ability to apply scientific principles to a training programme design and understand how to adapt training variables to meet the demands of specific training phases. In this course you will also look at adopting a critical evidence-based approach to athlete development and understanding the real-world application of programming.

At the end of the course you will receive a certificate, signed by Sam Bacon, as evidence of your CPD.
