This course is designed, written and delivered by a team of sports scientists, academics, specialist instructors, educationalists and experienced personal trainers.
All students study the anatomy, physiology and other theory modules as E-learning. This is done through a variety of interactive videos and resources. Students work at their own pace and have their educational supervisors for constant support throughout.
Students are then expected to attend 3 weekends of face to face teaching.
The weekends will be used to consolidate the learning from e learning and focuses mainly on the practical aspects of the course.
As well as the ongoing assessments and coursework, there will be an assessment day on which the written paper and practical assessment will be undertaken.
By the end of the course you will be equipped with all the knowledge and skills that is required to be a Personal Trainer.

You will be supported throughout the course by your dedicated educational supervisor.
You will also have support from your course tutor and the whole core team and other students via our exclusive private facebook group. The online learning will also serve to support you.

In this short module we discuss how to get the most out of the course and what you need to do!
Here you will learn all the key anatomy and physiology you need to be a Personal Trainer. Our team of doctors teach you this challenging area in an easy to learn fashion! The module is split into the following smaller lessons:
- Heart and Lungs
- Nervous System
- Muscles
- Bones and Joints
- Energy Systems
- Core Stability
Here you will learn about fats, carbohydrates, protein, as well as how we digest and absorb nutrients. You will learn all the skills required to analyse food diaries and give recommendations. You will also cover hydration and basic sports nutrition. The online lectures are supported by some fantastic face to face practicals. This module is a firm- student favourite!
Learn the art and science of programming. We cover programming for performance, sports, weight loss, weight gain, hypertrophy, competition and more.
This module is important to us, here we cover fitness testing, communications skills and coaching skills. Learn to assess and quantify fitness both strength, cardiovascular and flexibility amongst other components.
We believe that our students should not just have the knowledge to be great personal trainers but that they should be taught the business skills necessary to thrive in the industry. We support our students by teaching them the key things they need to know about business plans, accounting, marketing, PR and more.
